Early Life and Career

Daniel Gafford was born on October 1, 1998, in El Dorado, Arkansas. He played college basketball for the Arkansas Razorbacks, where he led the team in rebounds and blocks during his sophomore season. Gafford was selected 38th overall by the Chicago Bulls in the 2019 NBA Draft.

Rising to Prominence

After spending three seasons with the Bulls, Gafford was traded to the Washington Wizards in 2021. In Washington, he emerged as a formidable shot-blocker, averaging 2.3 blocks per game during the 2022-23 season. His defensive prowess earned him a spot on the NBA's All-Defensive Second Team.
